SKY LADDER — Pathways Between Earth and Sky

Sky Ladder is an ongoing artistic research into verticality, ascent, and the relationship between human presence, architecture, and the sky. Unfolding through video art and documentary-based observation, the series explores sacred and contemplative spaces as pathways between the earthly and the transcendent across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.

Working with these spaces, the series seeks to reveal hidden layers of meaning that exist beyond visible form.

The series approaches temples, monasteries, and ritual architectures as spatial gestures of elevation — places where architecture becomes a mediator between ground and sky, body and horizon, inner experience and vastness.

Medium: video art, digital collage
Formats: single-channel video, installation, screening

Some works are presented as anaglyph 3D images and still frames, introducing a physical layer of perception into the viewing experience.

Status: ongoing series (since 2023)
Geography: Asia, Europe (expanding)

Within Sky Ladder, architectural forms are treated not as monuments, but as instruments of orientation — vertical structures that organize attention, movement, and perception. Temples, cliffside monasteries, and sacred urban architectures become sites where the human gaze is guided upward, tracing a dialogue between gravity and transcendence.

Rather than documenting religious architecture, the series works with these spaces as lived environments — shaped by rhythm, light, scale, and silence. Through attentive observation and restrained visual intervention, Sky Ladder explores how spiritual architecture frames presence, care, and continuity across cultures, geographies, and everyday life.

Selected Video Works

The series continues to expand through the exploration of temples, monasteries, and sacred architectural sites in different cultural and geographical settings.
